This forthcoming album marks my third EP and fourth record release. After my mom was diagnosed with acute leukemia, I chose to take some time away from music (and seemingly everything else) to tend to the callings of a trying and deeply emotional experience. In the process of this and other major life changes, I felt at once a complete exhaustion and yet an underlying tug to pour myself into my creative work. I trusted that in the absence of a regular writing and performing discipline, the songs would still find their way to me. While I am not on the "other side" of much, this work is a small capsule of this time and my understanding that the only way out is, truly, through.
